Job Description:

The Job

We're looking for a strategic facilities leader to join our myPlace Health PACE team and take full ownership of the physical infrastructure that supports our participants and care teams. This is a unique chance to play a meaningful role in our organization's mission to redefine the way older adults experience care as they age in place in their homes and communities rather than in a nursing home.

This leader will be more than a project manager; they will be a steward of our brand's physical experience, a key partner to our leadership team, and a mentor to a growing facilities staff. You will be responsible for everything from leading our real estate strategy and overseeing complex construction projects to developing the long-term capital plans and operational programs that ensure our centers are safe, compliant, and always audit-ready.

This role requires a leader who can masterfully balance strategic planning with hands-on operational oversight, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and build a scalable, best-in-class facilities function that has a positive, direct impact on the experience of our participants and care teams.

You Will

Lead and mentor multi-site facilities teams (managers, supervisors, and technicians) for PACE clinical care sites, fostering a culture of proactive problem-solving and accountability.

Serve as the primary facilities liaison to the leadership teams at GLA & SLA, providing strategic counsel and regular updates on all real estate and facilities operational matters.

Manage multi-site operational budgets, develop and implement a 5-Year Capital Expense (CapEx) Plan to manage the lifecycle of major building assets and inform long-term financial planning.

Partner with Compliance and Operations to develop and own the facilities component of the company's Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) program as well as safety and security onsite.

Manage facility operations on an ongoing basis by interacting with landlords, establishing facility management processes, overseeing FF&E vendor contracts, overseeing facility maintenance staff, coordinating repairs, and establishing process standards.

Establish and enforce standard operating procedures for all facility operations-including preventative maintenance, vendor management, and new project intake-while overseeing the tracking and accounting of prioritized maintenance and repair needs.

Ensure all facilities are continuously audit-ready and compliant with all relevant standards and safety codes (DHCS, CMS, OSHA, ADA, Fire Marshal).

Oversee the management of all key operational vendor contracts and relationships, driving for quality and cost-effectiveness.

Able to balance strategic oversight with occasional hands-on support as needed to ensure successful execution.
1
Oversee all facility renovation projects, managing architects, general contractors, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to myPlace Health's quality standards.

We seek Rebels who are curious about AI and its power to transform how we operate and serve our members.

Actively support the achievement of SCAN's Vision and Goals.

Other duties as assigned.

  • Expert-level project management skills, especially in identifying critical paths, potential risks, and potential cost overruns
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Passion for our mission to serve high risk seniors and frail older adults, so that they can remain living in the communities they love rather than a nursing home
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence, build consensus, and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, from front-line staff to the executive team.
  • A "builder's mindset," with experience creating structure, scalable processes, and best practices in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

  • Proficient in project management and/or scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, etc.
  • Must reside in the Greater Los Angeles area with an ability to travel to visit assigned facilities on a regular basis
