Commercial Business Process Analyst I

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Commercial Business Process Analyst I to join our team! This position will enhance operational efficiency for Commercial Loan Operations while supporting strategic initiatives across the organization. Responsible for analyzing and optimizing business processes, ensuring effective use of systems and applications, and leading cross-functional projects using standard project management practices. Acting as a liaison between Commercial Loan Operations and Line of Business partners, the role supports change communications and provides hands-on assistance to business units as needed. Additional responsibilities include document review and retention in compliance with established standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform business process review/analysis in order to drive efficiency and fully utilize the features/functionality of all applications and/or systems available to unit.
• Collaborate with other business units to lead, facilitate and fulfill initiative purpose and goals through standard project management best practices including feasibility research, identifying business and technology requirements, developing testing strategies to mitigate deployment risk to implement the best possible solution.
• Act as a liaison between Commercial Loan Operations business units and Line of Business (LOB) partners by supporting the Commercial Loan Operations Change Communications (CLOCCs) Live Support Model
• Provide support to Commercial Loan Operations business units, projects, and initiatives as volume warrants and needs arise.
• Assist with review of loan packets and extraction of original documents for retention and file accordingly as defined by retention standards.

To be successful in this position, we require the following:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• A minimum of 2 years of related lending/loan operations experience.

The following would be a plus:

• Associate's degree or higher in business or related field of study.
