The Opportunity:

UCF Advancement & Partnerships seeks an experienced Senior Application Analyst to join their team. The Senior Application Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting change management, identifying needs, and documenting complex processes that enhance efficiency and reduce organizational risk. This role serves as a resident expert in Blackbaud CRM (APOLLO), the central donor management system for UCF Advancement & Partnerships, and collaborates cross-functionally on strategic initiatives, process improvements, and system enhancements.

Classification Title: Application Systems Analyst IV

Responsibilities:

Process and Change Management:

  • Act as a strategic liaison between technical systems and stakeholders to understand needs, gather requirements, and write specification documents. Lead process and system changes by building trust and collaborating with fundraisers and subject matter experts across the division.

System Configuration and Architecture:

  • Support system design and architecture for fundraising operations. Configure and maintain system settings, roles and permissions, queries, data lists, global data entry settings, and other technical components within Blackbaud CRM (APOLLO).

Workflow Design and Automation:

  • Design system workflows and automate business processes including Global Changes, Queues, Recognition Societies, Imports, and Export Definitions. Ensure functionality aligns with organizational goals and enhances user efficiency.

Technical Documentation:

  • Produce high-quality technical documentation including schemas, workflows, tutorials, field mapping, and procedures tailored to technical staff and end users alike. Ensure clear, accessible knowledge sharing.

Collaboration and Troubleshooting:

  • Partner with the Business Intelligence team to build data queries and customizations. Work with the Service Desk to troubleshoot system issues and continuously enhance user experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 9 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated expertise with advancement CRM applications, with a strong preference for Blackbaud platforms such as Blackbaud CRM (BBCRM) or Raiser's Edge.

  • 5+ years of related experience, preferably in a higher education or nonprofit setting.

  • Prior experience querying relational databases and developing functional specifications from gathered requirements.

  • Proficiency in designing, implementing, and optimizing workflows and business processes in complex systems.

  • Advanced Excel skills and high proficiency in the Windows environment and standard Microsoft Office suite.

  • Experience training and mentoring colleagues is preferred.

  • Familiarity with decentralized, complex nonprofit or higher education environments is a plus.

  • Proven ability to clearly, accurately, and concisely articulate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to foster strong working relationships and contribute to a collaborative, solutions-oriented work environment.

  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to work independently and cross-functionally.

  • High level of discretion and scrupulous attention to confidentiality and data privacy.


Special Instructions to the Applicants:

Advancement and Partnerships values the unique contributions that each team member brings to our division. The anticipated salary for a well-qualified candidate is $89,076 - $115,000.

The final determination of a successful candidate's starting salary will vary based on several factors, including education and relevant experience. The anticipated pay scale indicated for this position generally applies to candidates who meet the minimum requirements and several of the preferred qualifications outlined above. All offers are contingent on successful background and reference screens.
