Together We Grow - One Mission, One Team - With a Commitment to Serve Scope of Work: The Electrical Supervisor oversees all electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities at NAS Whidbey, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations. This position provides technical leadership, assigns work, and ensures operational readiness of electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure in support of government operations. Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the work of electricians and maintenance staff on electrical projects and repairs.
- Planning, scheduling, and directing electrical work to support preventive and corrective maintenance requirements.
- Supervising the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical distribution systems, lighting, controls, motors, and related components.
- Ensuring adherence to the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA regulations, and Navy/DoD electrical safety standards.
- Reviewing work orders, conducting inspections, and verifying completion of tasks to quality and safety standards.
- Coordinating with other trades, subcontractors, and government representatives to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation in compliance with contract requirements.
- Providing technical training, mentorship, and guidance to team members.
- Responding to emergency repairs and critical system outages to restore operational capability.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must have extensive knowledge of national and local electrical codes, with a valid Journeyman Electrical license; Master Electrician license preferred.
- Must demonstrate expertise in the composition, operation, installation, and maintenance of a wide range of electrical systems, circuits, equipment, and controls.
- Must be proficient in planning, laying out, and directing the installation, modification, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in compliance with the NEC, OSHA, and Navy/DoD safety standards.
- Must be able to read, interpret, and apply building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings, and ensure work is completed to specifications.
- Must have the ability to oversee maintenance instructions, schedules, and work orders, inspecting completed work for quality and compliance.
- Must be skilled in diagnosing system and equipment malfunctions, directing corrective actions, and ensuring timely completion of repairs.
- Must be experienced in the use of hand tools, power tools, test equipment (e.g., voltmeter, ammeter, wattmeter, ohmmeter), and related devices necessary for electrical work.
- Must possess leadership and communication skills to guide, train, and evaluate a team of electricians and maintenance personnel.
- Must be able to successfully complete and maintain a government security clearance as required.
- Must maintain licenses and/or credentials required for this position.
- Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work from a scissor lift and/or articulating boom lift.
- Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
- Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around various hazards with appropriate PPE.
