About the Role

Join our Payment Strategic Routing team to design and deliver datadriven products that optimize transaction routing, boost performance, and reduce fraud at global scale. You'll combine deep statistical and machinelearning expertise with strong business insight to create the next generation of paymentintelligence solutions on modern cloud platforms.

This role will work in a hybrid environment at our HQ located in Mason, OH. The expectation will be to be onsite 2-3 days per week.

What you will be doing:

• Build, validate, and deploy ML models and statistical models that drive smarter debitrouting decisions and realtime transaction optimization.
• Develop automated, endtoend pipelines for data ingestion, feature engineering, and model deployment using Databricks, Snowflake, ApacheSpark, and other bigdata frameworks.
• Perform exploratory analysis on large structured& unstructured datasets; present findings through dashboards and interactive visualizations for both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Design and evaluate A/B tests to measure uplift, optimize routing tables, and inform product strategy.
• Audit existing analytical workflows and introduce AIpowered automation to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Translate business challenges into technical solutions, working closely with product, engineering, risk, and compliance teams.
• Ensure data quality, security, and regulatory compliance; document models and establish monitoring to track performance over time.
• Balance sophistication with practicality, choosing the right level of complexity to meet performance, latency, and cost goals.

Special Requirements & Technical Toolkit

• Proficient in Python (preferred),R, SQL, and at least one JVM language (Scala/Java) for Spark.
• Expertise with ML / datascience libraries (scikitlearn, PySpark ML, TensorFlow, etc.).
• Handson experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Databricks, and Snowflake.
• Strong grasp of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and distributedcomputing frameworks (Spark, Hadoop).
• Version control & DevOps fundamentals (Git, CI/CD).
• Knowledge of A/B testing, experiment design, and optimization techniques preferred.
• Skilled in Tableau, PowerBI, Matplotlib, or RShiny; able to distill complex analyses into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirement:

• Graduate Degree in a Quantitative field (Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science) or relevant experience
• 5+ years of industry experience in data science, ML, or quantitative analytics, ideally within payments, fintech, or highvolume transaction environments.
• Experienced Payments Domain Knowledge, understanding of debit routing, interchange, fraud mitigation, data encryption, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with crossfunctional teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver highimpact solutions in a fastmoving environment.
