The Role:
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material flow to ensure timely deliveries and accurate records. The role manages domestic and international logistics, employee scheduling, payroll support, and ERP (JDE) transactions, while driving 5S compliance and process improvements. Working closely with project managers, customers, and carriers, this position is key to maintaining efficient operations and supporting production needs.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily warehouse and shipping operations, including task reviews, employee scheduling, and 5S compliance.
  • Manage outbound logistics:
    • Arrange and coordinate domestic and international shipments.
    • Obtain freight quotes and collaborate with forwarders, project managers, and customers.
    • Process shipping and invoicing transactions in JDE.
    • File and follow up on claims for missing or damaged shipments.
  • Participate in and lead regular operations meetings (daily stand-up, weekly area meetings).
  • Monitor and manage JDE system tasks, including status management, shipping roles, invoicing roles, RFQs, and purchase requisitions.
  • Provide payroll support through ADP and ensure accurate employee scheduling.
  • Maintain operational reporting tools such as the SSP tracker and SHP location cleanup.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and process standards in warehouse operations.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance shipping efficiency and communication flow.

Requirements:

Education/Experience

  • Associate's or Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • 3-5 years in shipping/logistics coordination, warehouse supervision, or related role

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (JDE strongly preferred).
  • Familiarity with ADP payroll and scheduling systems.
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams.

Knowledge/Competencies

  • Understanding of domestic and international shipping processes.
  • Experience obtaining freight quotes and coordinating with forwarders.
  • Familiarity with RFQs, purchase requisitions, and claims resolution.
  • Knowledge of 5S/Lean practices.

Soft Skills

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Clear communication and cross-team collaboration.
  • Ability to lead daily/weekly meetings and hold teams accountable.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making under time-sensitive conditions.
