Based on experience. 4am-2pm Monday-Thursday + OT 2pm-12am Monday-Thursday + OT Ixonia, WI Job Category: Manufacturing Job Details: I. REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, QUALIFICATIONS, AND BASIC SKILL LEVELS: * High School education plus 5 years of experience as a Quality Technician * Knowledge and technical background in manufacturing principles around which the parts are produced. * Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and costs. * Advanced knowledge of interpreting blueprints with GD&T. * Experience with AIAG PPAP and capability study requirements. * Knowledge of mathematics, including arithmetic and statistics. * Knowledge of computers, Windows environment including MS Office Suite, exposure to ERP systems a plus. * Experience with InspectionXpert and Gage Pack software a plus. * Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English with excellent communication skills. * Understands the care and use of pin gages, thread gages and gage blocks. * Able to use micrometers, indicators, calipers, and height gages. II. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications. * Record, review, and submit dimensional results, including required PPAP data, to internal and external customers. * Identify and segregate nonconforming materials or product. * Sort suspect materials or products for shipments as needed. * Notify appropriate organizational members of nonconformances with materials, products, or processes. * Converse with appropriate organizational members to troubleshoot or improve product. * Comply with policies, processes, and systems of the ISO quality management system. * Support the commitment to a safe work environment as stated in the safety vision and the safety manual. * Perform other duties as assigned. Calibration and Process Audit * Maintain gage calibration system for all measuring instruments used for accepting product. * Review shop floor orders, blueprints, or other instructions to evaluate and audit quality of products, materials, and processes. III. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: * Responsible and accountable for quality workmanship and accuracy * Effectively communicate with all other departments regarding upcoming needs or requirements from those departments * Support the Company's Quality and Safety Policies by understanding & following the policies, procedures as they apply to your job & department. * Support the company by performing other duties as assigned. VI. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: * Required to wear steel toed foot protection that meets ANSI Z41-1991. * Safety glasses must be worn at all times in all shop areas this includes employees who need corrective lenses. * Various tasks may require an employee to wear additional personal protective equipment such as hearing protection. * Additional information regarding employee personal protective equipment can be found in the Safety Manual.
