This detail-oriented individual, as part of the Manufacturing team, will be responsible for the preparation and painting of valves, valve bodies, and valve components, including the application of chase coats to both machined and un-machined castings to ensure quality finishes and product durability.
This position reports to Manufacturing Supervisor. This role is onsite and is based in St. Pauls, NC.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Arrange work materials and paint supplies in and around the workstation.
- Load paint booth assembly track with valves and valve components, ensuring excellent paint quality standards are maintained.
- Mix or assist in mixing paints in preparation for painting.
- Maintain records relating to work movement through the paint booth system, job completion, and equipment maintenance.
- Perform daily and weekly routine maintenance of spray booths, painting equipment (nozzles, tanks, etc.), and filtration systems.
- Assist in maintaining inventories of paint and related supplies, notifying supervision when reorder points are reached.
- Perform routine housekeeping and ensure the area operates within pollution and safety standards and requirements.
- Participate in routine housekeeping and 5S activities.
- Follow all company policies including attendance and safety; demonstrate safe work practices.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- 1+ years of previous experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Solid understanding of basic math.
- Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure.
- Ability to work assigned shifts with overtime as required.
- Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
- Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior painting, finishing, or assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of lean practices such as 5S.

Working Conditions:
While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site in a manufacturing facility. You will be required to work at the Company's location in St.Pauls, NC. Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to physically move around manufacturing floor.
- Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
