Bio-Rad is looking for a Service Process & Quality Specialist. A typical day involves reviewing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with 21CFR820 regulations, collaborating with product support engineers and Customer Care leaders to align processes with customer needs, and conducting training sessions for new service managers. The specialist also analyzes service workflows using Lean Six Sigma tools to identify inefficiencies, leads root cause analysis for process issues, and prepares documentation for regulatory audits, with occasional meetings to coordinate with cross-functional teams.

  • Enhances Regulatory Compliance: Ensures service processes and documentation adhere to 21CFR820 and ISO standards, reducing risk during external audits and maintaining industry compliance.
  • Improves Operational Efficiency: Applies Lean Six Sigma methodologies to streamline field service and product support workflows, minimizing waste and boosting productivity.
  • Elevates Service Quality: Develops and monitors standardized procedures and training, leading to consistent, high-quality service delivery and improved customer satisfaction.
  • Drives Continuous Improvement: Leads root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives, addressing process inefficiencies and fostering ongoing operational advancements.
  • Supports Organizational Growth: Trains new service managers and collaborates cross-functionally, aligning service processes with commercial operations and new product development goals.


What You Bring:




  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, business administration, or a related field, with a preference for an advanced degree or certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in service quality, process improvement, or operations management, ideally in a regulated industry like medical devices, with proven expertise in applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of 21CFR820 regulations and experience ensuring compliance in service or quality processes, including supporting external regulatory audits.

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze data and apply data-driven decision-making to identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements.

  • Communication and Training Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders and effectively train new service managers on processes and quality standards.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $117,900 to $162,200 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
