What you'll do As an Industrial Engineer(IE) - Senior Lean Practitioner at Viasat you are joining a growing and dynamic group of Lean Practitioners with the opportunity to personally shape the competencies and direction of both the team and the company. As a Senior Lean Practitioner, you will be integrated into the broader IE/OPEX team and fulfill the role of site-lead in Tempe, AZ. Your primary responsibilities will include strategic direction setting, tool selection, implementation leadership, people change management, Lean culture building, and quality/cost/schedule impact reporting. The day-to-day As the face of the IE/OPEX team in Tempe, you will be accountable for organizational goals advancing Lean maturity across manufacturing and engineering teams. From a position of hands-on-engagement, you will influence the adoption of Lean through support and resolution of complex business and manufacturing challenges. You will focus on schedule performance, quality, and cost metrics as you transform processes and systems towards Operational Excellence standards. At Viasat, you will be applying a broad range of strategic and tactical skills ranging from implementation of standard work practices to facilitating policy deployment. This role demands an innate aptitude toward relations development, mentorship, and people change management supported by your holistic knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and manufacturing operations. Salary range $163,000.00 - $258,000.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $203,000.00- $304,000.00/ annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional cash or stock incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
