Summary

We are currently seeking a Landscape Architect (PLA) to work with a team to collaborate throughout the business to develop and deliver landscape architecture designs and plans for a variety of projects, though primarily land development projects. As a landscape architect, this individual will be responsible not only for managing and coordinating tasks and projects but also working in a team setting in a fast paced environment on multiple simultaneous projects.

In addition, this person will be responsible for supporting the pursuit of additional work and representing the business in a client-facing capacity. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit that has the desire to grow with the company!

  • Work Location: On-site with flexible work arrangements, hybrid available
  • Expected Compensation Range: $70,000 -100,000 annually (Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple landscape architecture projects simultaneously, ensuring successful execution from concept to completion.
  • Strong technical skills, including schematic design, hardscape detailing, site planning, grading, planting design, and construction documentation.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revu, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Lumion, Revit, and other industry related software. Civil3D experience is a plus.
  • Conduct site analysis, research zoning and regulatory requirements, and oversee the permitting process. Prepare and review conceptual designs, construction documents, and technical drawings.
  • Assist directors and client service managers in executing departmental marketing and sales plans and goals. Identify specific sales targets and pursuits related to landscape.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings to generate new business and expand the company's reach.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Preferred experience in transportation/linear projects, such as roundabout or streetscape landscaping, or leading visual quality tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
  • Professional licensure as a Landscape Architect (PLA) in MN, NC, TX or the ability to get licensed in these and other states
  • 5+ years of professional landscape architecture experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to exercise independent judgment
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and adapt quickly to shifting priorities throughout the day
  • Skilled in mentoring and supporting the professional growth of junior staff
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills and a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset
  • Committed to delivering high-quality work and building lasting client relationships

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Work is primarily performed in an office environment
  • Ability to occasionally move equipment/objects weighing up to 10 pounds
