Description

Washington College is seeking a Client Services Manager to join the Office of Marketing & Communications. In this role, you'll be the main point of contact for campus partners requesting MarComm support-everything from print materials and digital campaigns to event promotions and strategic initiatives. You'll guide projects from intake to delivery, making sure each one is well-planned, on schedule, and aligned with the College's brand and mission. As the bridge between our clients and the MarComm team, you'll combine relationship-building with strong project management skills to ensure every project not only meets deadlines but also makes an impact.This is a 12-month exempt position and reports to the Vice President for Marketing and Communications.

What You'll Do



  • Manage project intake - Partner with campus clients to understand goals, gather details, and define project scope.
  • Coordinate schedules and deliverables - Build timelines, set milestones, and track progress in the Lytho project management platform to keep creative projects moving.
  • Be the client's advocate - Provide clear updates, manage expectations, and ensure final products reflect the client's needs and the College's brand.
  • Collaborate with creative teams - Work closely with designers, writers, and digital specialists to translate client requests into effective marketing solutions.
  • Support strategic communications - Ensure projects contribute to larger institutional priorities and storytelling goals.


Qualifications

What We're Looking For



  • A bachelor's degree (project management, business, communications, or related field preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience managing projects, ideally in higher education or a collaborative work environment.


  • Strong organizational and time management skills-you can juggle multiple projects with unwavering attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills-you know how to listen, explain, and bring people along.
  • Experience with and knowledge of the creative process, printer specifications, and design production.


  • Comfort with project management tools and a willingness to learn new systems.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented approach and a genuine desire to support others' success.
  • Must be able to multitask between small and large-scale projects in a deadline-oriented office.


  • Confidence to manage up in meeting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
  • Proficiency with Mac and/or PC operating environments and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience negotiating with and managing printers and other service providers a plus.


  • A basic understanding of a college environment and a commitment to the liberal arts mission of Washington College.
