We are seeking an Expert-Level Backend TypeScript Developer to join a high-impact team building a cloud-native digital services platform for a global agriculture leader. This role is hands-on and technical, with 90% of your time spent developing scalable backend services and data products. Responsibilities * Design, build, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant backend services using TypeScript and Node.js * Develop and support a serverless data product hosted on AWS (Lambda, SQS, S3, EventBridge) * Optimize performance and latency using metrics and profiling tools * Lead technical decisions and mentor junior developers * Build APIs and GraphQL endpoints for internal and external integrations * Work with PostgreSQL and relational databases for data modeling and processing * Collaborate in Agile teams using Scrum methodology and tools like JIRA * Support production systems and ensure end-to-end test coverage Required Skills & Experience * 8+ years of professional software development experience * 5+ years building scalable data pipelines and services on AWS * 3+ years in technical leadership roles * Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js * Strong experience with AWS serverless technologies (Lambda, SQS, S3, CloudWatch, EventBridge) * Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and SQL * Skilled in REST APIs, GraphQL, unit testing, and CI/CD * Familiarity with Python, Docker, Linux CLI tools, and AWS CDK * Experience with Agile methodologies (TDD, code reviews, Scrum) * Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications * Experience with ElasticSearch, AWS AppSync, API Gateway, Grafana * Familiarity with agronomy or agriculture data (nice to have) * Consultant mindset with ability to drive solutions and contribute to strategy Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer on a W-2 basis. We are unable to sponsor or work with third-party agencies. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $85.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
