Job Description is pending classification. Work location: Washington, D.C area. The position is responsible for serving as a liaison between CW3E and NOAA and NWS interests in the National Capital area, as well as with other CW3E partners and collaborators located in the area. This is a 100% Contract position for 2 years with the possibility of extension or conversion to career status. The incumbent leads CW3E's efforts to implement the Research And Operations Partnership (RAOP) between CW3E and the Cooperative Institute for Research to Operations in Hydrology (CIROH). The incumbent will manage and oversee programs and projects related to the evolution and implementation of FIRO activities as FIRO expands from the western US to the rest of the country, with a focus on collaboration with NOAA's Office of Water Prediction and NOAA's River Forecast Centers. The incumbent collaborates across CW3E and with the CIROH RAOP partners to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and delivered with high quality; develops detailed tasks and procurement plans; oversees day-to-day activities of the team; and regularly interfaces and coordinates with team members to track progress, schedules, budgets, and deliverables. Contributes to scientific journal publications; and translates research findings into information that can be easily understood by both experts and non-experts and will be responsible for gathering all information for and writing comprehensive progress reports. Provides operational and management guidance and mentorship to early and mid-career team members. Provides key input into long-term vision and goals, and leads implementation of those goals as well as policies, procedures and programs to achieve the goals. Represents the center and foster growth by giving seminars, attending meetings and conferences, building relationships with key partners and stakeholders. QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $108,100 - $204,900 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $51.77 - $98.13 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
