HJF is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant I to monitors the execution of clinical trials associated with specific projects. Ensures that all necessary steps are taken towards safety provisions and all regulations are adhered.

This position will be in support of Center for Rehabilitation Sciences Research (CRSR). This position will be in support of NCAA/DoD Concussion Assessment Research and Education Consortium project located at NAVSCOLEOD, Eglin Air Force Base.

This position supports a Concussion Assessment Research and Education (CARE) study of students and staff at NAVSCOLEOD, looking at how concussion/mTBI, head impact exposure, and blast exposure affect health outcomes and military performance over time. This position involves public speaking to conduct group recruitment sessions to enroll participants and obtain informed consent for this study. This position will also require staff to prepare documents, collect data, process blood biospecimens, enter data, and perform other study tasks.

  • Supports staff in mass recruitment events which includes but is not limited to managing scheduling of the event, public speaking, preparing documents, mass consenting, proper storage of data collected, etc.
  • Will assist with blood processing.
  • Ensures that regulatory documents are maintained and are up to date.
  • Complies with GCP guidelines for proper research practice and documentation.
  • Maintains accurate regulatory compliant program/study binders for each study.
  • Assists in support with updating and maintenance of regulatory requirements such as the investigator's CVs, changes in PI, training records, licenses, etc.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.
  • Assists clinical research associate with project administration, including scheduling participants and coordinating with other clinical services.
  • Enters and verifies data entry for research projects, supports staff in QA/QC, and provides troubleshooting.
  • Attends meetings and provides updates on site status.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferred within the areas of Psychology, Neuroscience, or Health Sciences.
  • Minimum of 0-2 years experience required.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Must be comfortable with public speaking and biospecimen processing.
  • Ability to understand and utilize scientific/medical terminology and research theory in both oral and written communications.
  • Ability to have/learn proper documentation that aligns with GCP guidelines.
  • Ability to use measurable and verifiable information for making decisions or judgments; Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • US Citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a T3 secret clearance.


Physical Capabilities



  • Lifting: Requires lifting materials over 25 lbs.
  • Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged period


Work Environment



  • This position will take place primarily in a office environment.


Compensation



  • The hourly pay range for this position is $18.25 - $29.47 per hour. Actual hourly pay will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
