The Contribution You'll bring to this Role:

We are looking for a Planner/Scheduler to join the Justrite Safety Group team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of work and materials across departments. The Assistant Planner will create and maintain schedules, monitor progress, and proactively identify and address potential delays or bottlenecks. You will also collaborate closely with production, supply chain, and other internal teams to align priorities, track resources, and support on-time delivery. In addition, this role will focus on identifying opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen overall workflow. About the Team:

As a member of our Supply Chain team, you'll have the opportunity to work with industry-leading suppliers and logistics partners, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of products that keep our customers safe. Our supply chain team is dedicated to optimizing processes, reducing lead times, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to meet our high standards of quality and reliability. What You'll Do at Justrite:



  • Maintaining a master schedule for multiple manufacturing production lines to meet daily production goals for each value stream
  • Organizes, formulates, and prepares master schedules to conform with customer specific requirements (CSR), delivery dates, and manufacturing capacities to meet demand, while taking overtime expense into consideration.
  • Expedites and coordinates detailed scheduling and the systematic release of orders to the production department.
  • Performs liaison with Corporate Customer Service, production, engineering, and others on matters pertaining to schedules, production, methods, materials, and designs to resolve day-to-day problems and improve systematic methods.
  • Maintains surveillance over orders in process to keep informed of manufacturing status and, when needed, initiates the necessary steps to maintain conformity with schedules
  • Assisting in identifying capacity and resource constraints and adjust schedule to achieve OTD goals
  • Assisting with updates to the master schedule to adjust for new orders & unplanned events, communicate changes to production supervisors
  • Managing printing and placement of work orders to the production floor
  • Print work instructions for each FG job
  • Create job orders in ERP system as needed
  • Assists with work order flow.
  • Work with production management and teams to identify daily progress and opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with inventory accuracy, cycle counts and corrections
  • Assist Purchasing in maintaining inventory levels, safety stock and inventory turns
  • Produce daily open order report and OTD metrics
  • Attend daily manufacturing meetings
  • Support yearly physical inventory
  • Work with Master Planner to assist with continuous improvement projects
  • Update the Gemba boards daily before the team meets with the OTD information
  • Assist with entering of OEE, creating established reports
  • Various production and warehouse projects as assigned
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by management and ownership.


Your Skills and Expertise:

To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:



  • Three to Five (3-5) years experience in planning and scheduling, inventory control, internal expediting, and general supervisory work to acquire knowledge of systems, products, components, and material identities and to attain necessary proficiency.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multi and changing priorities.
  • Experience in ISO 9001 quality management system or equivalent preferred
  • High level Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
  • Organization and problem-solving skills


Compensation:

The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $58,000 to $70,000.

Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
