Position Title: CNC Programmer

Wage: $33.00 - $40.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:00am - 2:00pm

CNC Programmer Responsibilities:

- Set up and program multi-axis CNC mills and lathes with live tooling to manufacture precision parts

- Create new programs utilizing Mastercam CAD/CAM software to machine parts within print tolerances

- Develop set-up sheets and tool lists for efficient operations

- Collaborate with engineers, machinists and operators during test runs to ensure processes meet specifications

- Inspect parts using quality inspection tools to ensure accuracy

- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics and specifications

- Select tools, fixtures, and machine parameters for efficient production

- Monitor machine performance and adjust settings as needed

- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and machinery issues

- Assist with maintaining a safe and organized work environment

- Lead machinists and operators to ensure efficient, high-quality production

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for process optimization and waste reduction

Requirements for CNC Programmer:

- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus

- Relevant certifications (e.g., CNC Machinist Certification) are a plus

- Previous manufacturing experience

- Experience with live tooling preferred

- Strong attention to detail

- CAD/CAM software experience; Mastercam preferred

- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints

- Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical/logistical issues

- Strong understanding of machining principles and tool selection

- Ability to work independently and follow directions closely

- Experience leading and mentoring machinists/operators

- Proficiency with CNC software and related applications

- Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

- Professional and positive attitude with strong communication skills

- Ability to work in a moderately noisy environment (machining operations, grinders, etc.)

- Adequate eyesight to read engineering drawings, measurements and fine detail

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
