Description & Requirements Completion of work to understand the role of calcium homeostasis in schizophrenia and other mental illnesses. Continuing the dissection of a particular component of this system (plasma membrane calcium ATPases) and the interpretation of rare mutations through structural understanding. The Daly Lab focuses on genetic discovery across immune-mediated and psychiatric disorders. They work simultaneously on growing biobank efforts to expand and diversify genetic discovery and to develop strategies that advance the interpretation of mechanism underlying disease-causing variation.
Responsibilities:
Conduct independent research, primarily computationally-based, to define the genetic causes of common disease and to explore the mechanisms by which they cause disease. Education requirements: PhD
Years of experience: none-required post-PhD
