The Senior Manager, Material Planning, reporting to the Director of Powerplant MRO, is responsible for leading a team of material handlers and overseeing material planning and inventory control across multiple engine build programs. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely and efficient material availability to support operational goals.


Key Responsibilities:


* Lead and manage material planning activities, including forecasting, inventory control, and allocation for engine programs.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement, Product Line, Repairs, Warehouse, and other internal stakeholders to align material strategies with business objectives.
* Develop and implement short-term tactical plans to improve operational efficiency and reduce material-related delays.
* Drive long-term process improvements in material planning and inventory management systems.
* Monitor and report on material availability, usage trends, and inventory health to support decision-making.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to material handling and inventory control.


Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, or related field
* 8+ years of experience in material planning or inventory management within the aviation industry
* Strong understanding of aviation parts sourcing including OEM, third-party, and consigned inventory
* Proficiencyin ERP systems and inventory planning tools
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an ability to think creatively in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers, internal teams and senior leadership
* Demonstrated leadership experience managing cross-functional teams
* Ability to influence stakeholders and drive process improvements


Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with aviation MRO operations and regulatory compliance
* Familiarity with international logistics andimport/export regulations
* Knowledge of lean inventory practices and continuous improvement methodologies
* Experience implementing or optimizing inventory planning systems
