Description and Requirements

We are looking for a technically grounded and customer-focused Product Owner to lead the evolution of our private cloud platform, built on OpenStack. This role focuses on enabling scalable, secure, and automated IaaS infrastructure for enterprise use, while supporting emerging AI and hybrid workload demands. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, platform-as-a-service capabilities, and experience with private cloud delivery in large-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities
* Define and drive the product roadmap for the OpenStack-based private cloud platform, ensuring enterprise readiness, high availability, and extensibility.
* Lead feature planning and prioritization across core domains:
o Compute, Storage, and Networking Orchestration - manage VM lifecycle, block/object storage, SDN, and network policies.
o AI Compute Enablement - GPU/NPU-aware scheduling, quota management, elastic provisioning, and integration with model inference engines.
o Multi-Tenant Architecture - logical isolation, resource quota, billing/showback support, and secure self-service portal.
o Security and Compliance - identity federation, policy enforcement, and audit mechanisms (e.g., Keystone, Barbican, Neutron security groups).
o Hybrid Cloud Integration - enable interoperability with public cloud and container platforms (e.g., OpenShift, Kubernetes).
o Self-Service & Automation - blueprint templates, approval workflows, and integration with external automation engines (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
o Monitoring & Resilience - observability, alerting, resource exhaustion prediction, and high-availability design.
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, DevOps, and support teams to ensure timely and robust product delivery.
* Work closely with enterprise customers and field teams to gather feedback, validate product features, and continuously refine user experience.
* Analyze market trends, ecosystem evolution (e.g., OpenInfra Foundation projects), and competitive offerings to maintain differentiation.

Basic Qualifications:

* 8+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in cloud infrastructure or private cloud platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

* In-depth understanding of OpenStack architecture and core services (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, Keystone, etc.).
* Familiarity with virtualized networking (SDN, VLAN/VXLAN), storage backends, and infrastructure security controls.
* Experience working with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and self-service catalog systems.
* Ability to translate enterprise IT operations requirements into technical features and delivery priorities.
* Proficiency with collaboration and planning tools such as Figma, Jira, Confluence, etc.
* Strongly preferred: hands-on experience operating, delivering, or designing private cloud platforms in large enterprise or government environments, especially with strict security/compliance requirements.
* Excellent cross-functional communication skills; able to work with global engineering, field, and executive stakeholders.
