Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience). Requires an additional 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


Responsibilities for this Position

Working successfully within a team, the Engineer Support will:

  • Use defined resources to meet project requirements, gather and organize data for review with appropriate engineer(s) in support of project, perform research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting and repairing of devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems.
  • Provide technical expertise to customers, users or company personnel at domestic field sites.
  • Develop, implement, installs, test, modify and/or operate complex equipment and systems.
  • Participate in engineering teams supporting experiment design, materials, equipment setup and maintenance
    and related issues.
  • Develop test plans and preventative maintenance programs.

  • Performs technical functions in support of engineering activities such as set up, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical components and systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models or specialized test equipment.
  • Exercise creative thinking and ideation to advance our business performance.
  • Read interpret and perform maintenance from drawings and documentation.
  • Work diligently to meet standard and expedited work deadlines.
  • Vision sufficient to work with surface mount electronic components.
  • Responsible for the completion of all maintenance as assigned.
  • Make aware any concerns about quality, process control, or any conditions to supervision.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a professional manner.
  • Perform routine & preventative maintenance on equipment, and assist in establishing preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Performs a variety of equipment/process operations involving an application or technical skills in a specific area (electrical, optical, etc.).
  • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components.
  • Calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
  • Perform routine/basic preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
  • Diagnoses and isolates equipment and system malfunctions which fail to respond to standard corrective measures.

Target salary range: USD $84,006.00/Yr. - USD $90,898.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
