Hourly Pay Range:

$35.35 - $54.79 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Interventional Procedures Technologist

PositionHighlights:

  • Sign on bonus: $15,000 for new grads and $20,000 for 1 year of IR or Cath experience (external candidates only)
  • Position: Interventional Procedures Cath Lab Tech
  • Location: Glenbrook Hospital
  • Full Time/Part Time:Full-Time (40hrs/wk)
  • Hours:4 10 hour shifts starting at either 6:30 or 7 AM, rotating weekends and on -call
  • Required Travel: Some travel between north region sites, as needed

What you will do:

* Prepare patients, procedure rooms, sterile and nonsterile equipment, catheters and other technology for diagnostic and invasive procedures.
* Assist physicians during coronary, peripheral, structural heart and other interventional procedures, including vascular access and device placement.
* Perform scrub assist and circulating responsibilities while providing hemodynamic monitoring, EKG interpretation and procedural documentation.
* Operate and troubleshoot specialized interventional equipment and assist with fluoroscopy, digital imaging, data acquisition and processing.
* Provide post-procedure care, including hemostasis and access-site management, and recognize and respond appropriately to complications and emergency situations.

What you will need:

* License: Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
* Education: Associate's degree in an allied health field or higher bachelor's degree.
* Certifications: ACLS certification required or must be obtained within 12 months of start date. RCIS, VI or RCES certification preferred.
* Experience: Minimum of one year of procedural experience in Neuroscience, Catheterization Lab or Interventional Radiology preferred; other healthcare-related experience may be considered.
