About the Role
We are seeking two (2) Senior Financial Analysts* to join our Finance team. These positions offer a unique opportunity for experienced analysts to contribute across multiple areas of financial operations. Depending on your background and expertise, you may focus on budgeting and forecasting, system and process optimization, or a blend of these responsibilities.

This is an ideal role for professionals who thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy solving complex problems, have strong attention to detail and want to make a direct impact on financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities (may vary by assignment)

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to better serve the financial and programmatic interests of the County
  • Helping coordinate the budget development process, from early assumption gathering to development of a comprehensive budget document.
  • Applying technical and problem-solving skills to assist in the maintenance of the ERP system to ensure accurate results. Potential areas of the ERP system include Budget Module and Accounting Modules.
  • Performs account reconciliation and transaction research in accounting, business services/collections and information technology areas of DOA
  • Assists in gathering financial information for grant reporting.
  • Support financial systems (ERP/HCM) through data validation, reporting, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

* Position may be underfilled at the Financial Analyst classification whose hourly rate range is $29.44 to $40.88 (depending on qualifications).

Minimum Training & Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university in business administration, public administration, accounting, finance, or a closely related field AND two (2) years of progressively responsible, professional work experience in the area of budget preparation and review, accounting, cost accounting, financial reporting, or internal auditing.

  • A master's degree in an area listed above may be substituted for one (1) year of the work experience requirement.

Minimum Training & Experience Requirements for the underfill at the Financial Analyst level:

Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university in business administration, public administration, accounting, finance, or a closely related field, OR a High School Diploma or GED, and a combination of recognized post high school education and progressively responsible work experience, in finance, accounting, or closely related field, totaling four (4) years.
