Responsibilities

Sabre Systems is hiring for an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support the Unmanned Carrier Aviation Program Office (PMA-268) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. PMA 268 is responsible for the MQ-25 Stingray unmanned air system. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing Interim Authorizations to Test (IATTs), Authorizations to Operate (ATOs), Memorandums for the Record (MFRs) to support Program development, test, and operational needs. Such activities include but not limited to:

  • Maintain a cyber schedule for authorization efforts in support of the Program Integrated Master Schedule (IGS).
  • Review cybersecurity contractual deliveries for compliance with contract requirements.
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies and site inheritance Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) / Concept of Operations (CONOPS).
  • Coordinate with Contractors/Organizations supporting cybersecurity efforts.
  • Actively participate in Configuration Management (CM) tasks to ensure Cyber Security (CS) posture of systems are not impacted due to a change.
  • Obtain and sustain cybersecurity authorization packages.
    • Provide input to the Risk Management Framework process activities and related documentation (e.g., system life-cycle support plan).
    • Review, develop, and maintain cybersecurity authorization documentation IAW the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and requirements.
    • Interpret and verify technical security assessment results from items such as STIGs, Evaluate STIG, and vulnerability scans.
    • Coordinate implementation and address all security controls to include but not limited to developing security policies, procedures, and guidance for compliance by sites hosting systems.
      • Ensure system security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed.
    • Conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with the authorization and/or certification support documentation.
  • Ensure authorization and/or certification support documentation package for are developed, maintained, and updated as required.
    • Support and document security control tests, assist in remediation, and ensure that Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms) are being appropriately managed.
    • Ensure that POA&Ms or remediation plans are in place for vulnerabilities identified during risk assessment.
    • Ensure POA&M items are addressed by the required due dates.
    • Ensure all authorization package requirements, to include stipulations, are addressed by the required due dates.
    • Implement and enforce all DoD Information Systems and Cyber Security policies and procedures, as defined by its security certification and authorization documentation.
    • Update authorization package(s) as systems / software are modified or new components are added.
    • Follow the appropriate Work Breakdown Schedule (WBS) for execution of cyber authorizations.
  • Ensure Vulnerability and Patch Management Plan (VPMP) is developed, sustained, and executed.
  • Ensure assigned systems are operating, used, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university.
  • Must have at least three (3) years of recent and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise is required.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
  • Must be a US Citizen

Compensation

Mid/Journeyman Level: At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements. The general salary range for this position is $60,000-$150,000; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms.
