Counsel

ATSG is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Counsel to support the legal team in managing commercial contracts, operational legal matters, and litigation coordination. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure across the legal function in a private equity-backed, high-growth aviation and logistics company, while working closely with experienced attorneys and business leaders.

This is a primarily onsite role based at ATSG's headquarters in Wilmington, Ohio. To support flexibility and work-life balance, up to four remote workdays per month may be approved based on business needs and performance.

Key Responsibilities



  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, NDAs, and customer-facing documents.
  • Support AGCs in managing complex agreements such as aircraft leases, charter agreements, and air transportation services contracts.
  • Assist with litigation coordination, claims intake, and employment-related legal matters.
  • Conduct legal research and provide practical guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Help maintain contract templates, playbooks, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with operations, procurement, HR, and finance teams to ensure legal alignment.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and gain exposure to regulatory compliance and corporate governance matters.


Qualifications



  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law or recently sat for the July bar exam.
  • 0-4 years of legal experience; law firm experience or strong internships preferred.
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
