Description
Materials Analyst or Supply Planner Analyze and coordinate activities associated with the planning, provisioning and inventory control of all materials and equipment required for the support of aircraft and component maintenance. Maintain a comprehensive materials plan to support airline and MRO operations, including flight operations, maintenance, and repairs. Coordinate with various departments, including Tech Ops, Procurement, and Logistics, to understand material requirements and improve material availability/reliability. Utilize forecasting tools and techniques to predict future material needs based on historical trends, fleet plans, and operational requirements. Review material inventory for proper stocking levels using forecasted and historical use criteria, assuring sufficient availability and avoidance of excess. Monitor inventory levels and usage patterns to recommend optimal stock levels, ensuring a balance between availability and inventory carrying costs. Conduct regular reviews of demand and supply patterns to identify potential issues or opportunities for improvement. Participate in the development and implementation of strategies for inventory management, including safety stock levels, reorder points, and lead times. Collaborate with the Procurement team to provide input on supplier selection and performance based on delivery reliability and quality performance. Use data analytics tools to track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as fill rates, stockouts, and inventory turnover. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives aimed at improving material planning management processes. Comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and company policies related to material planning. Skills and knowledge needed * Experience with regulatory requirements for aircraft parts preferred but not required * Ability to take multiple pieces of information and create a story from the information. * Advanced knowledge of Microsoft tools to create that story. PowerBI, Excel, PowerPoint * Use the story to provide information to management and provide options for decisions to be made: * How much to buy * Where to keep it * Stock or not-stock decisions * Understanding statistical analysis, preferred but not required * Familiar with SQL, preferred but not required * Advanced excel, database query and PowerBI skills. * Understands KPI's * Thinks past just the next step, can anticipate * Able to investigate anomalies in information to the source Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
