Reporting to the Director of Specialty Sales & Independent Agents, the Specialty Sales Manager manages our Independent Representative Groups network for CastWorks and ensures collaboration with our designated Manufacturing Plants, Estimating, Marketing and Project Management staff to foster long-term customer relationships and satisfaction. In conjunction with the corporate sales organization, the Specialty Sales Manager establishes market, regional and target customer strategies for growth / new opportunities and market share acquisitions for CastWorks products.The role is both strategic and hands-on in nature and is accountable for driving the annual CastWorks Sales Plans including monthly and quarterly sales tracking to ensure those stated targets are met. Lastly, the incumbent educates, mentors, and guides the corporate sales organization on selling CastWorks products and acts as a resource to support the company's total solutions selling strategy. What You'll Do
- Manage the sales of CastWorks materials, products, and services across the US. This includes management of the sales process that is goal and results oriented where key aspects of accountability and responsibility are being used.
- Manage independent sales representatives to create specifications with the architecture and design community to closure of sales.
- Develop targeted account strategies with independent sales representatives and corporate Sales staff to maximize account penetration.
- Manage sales leads with great tracking methods and responsiveness.
- Utilize SalesForce as means of CRM and job tracking.
- Utilize extensive product knowledge to train independent sales representatives and orientation training on factory floor to new sales staff.
- Promote product line to internal and external parties through presentations, segment pieces, client engagement in the field on new products, responses to inquiries, and sample management.
- Consult with architects, designers and end-users for design budgets and technical information to secure interest in CastWorks products.
- Create and update visual client presentations on a quarterly basis.
- Prospect existing leads and qualify them by using the web, our database, and other resources.
- Proactively identifiy target customers and determines strategy for contact.
- Capture competitive data and product offerings and presents that data to business leaders within the company.
- Prepare activity and forecast reports for review.
- Prepare qualified technical projects to hand off to the Estimating Department.
- Understand full product lines with an emphasis on modified standard and custom products.
- Track and secure project opportunities from specification through bid phase and all the way to closure.
- Understand company selling advantages and positions with key project influencers versus the weaknesses of alternative competitive landscape.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on process, product, and pricing within the complex Architectural Specialties (AS) solutions offer. Interacts with and coordinates internal resources including corporate Spec & Channel Managers, field sales reps, CSMs, Independent Rep Groups, Project Managers, Project Coordinators and Estimators within the Construction Services teams.
- Train corporate sales team on product, collaborate with internal corporate resources solution selling and strategy.
- Measure progress in becoming easiest to do business with via voice of customer mechanisms.
- Promote, track, and close specialty suspension systems, custom AS solutions.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
- 3+ years of related sales experience.
- 4+ recent years of architectural sales or architectural manufacturing industry, or Independent Sales Representative experience.
