How You'll Make an Impact Dudek is seeking a project manager that will lead multi-disciplinary teams to obtain necessary approvals to construct and operate energy generation and infrastructure projects. The individual will be self-driven with a proven track record of proactive business development, working closely with engineering design teams, regulatory agencies, environmental subject matter experts, and land acquisition specialists. Candidates that have technical expertise in managing large complex projects to meet project milestones within schedule and budget expectations is essential. Candidates that have a demonstrated track record working on linear projects and with public regulated utilities is preferred. This position will be associated with one of our core offices in California, Colorado, Washington, Oregon and/or Arizona but can be fully remote. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Foster client connections through existing client relationships and proactive business development while working with others to anticipate and pursue work
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, engagement, quality service, and customer satisfaction to our clients
  • Enhance Dudek's professional reputation and demonstrate the ability to be creative and innovative with these tasks while representing Dudek in a professional manner.
  • Provides QA/QC of Dudek prepared work products and associated mentorship on methods and means to improve work products.
  • Manage projects that are fast-paced with changing requirements.
  • Ability to work with large project teams for a public regulated utility.
  • Lead permitting strategies by taking initiative to assure client expectations are being met.
  • Lead the preparation, organization, and production of environmental compliance management plans, permit applications, and other environmental documents to guide compliance implementation during the project lifecycle.
  • Work with project team members to track environmental commitments to support the implementation of permit conditions on a variety of projects.
  • Coordinate with client, field personnel, and environmental resource specialists to ensure permit conditions are implemented during construction.
  • Provides mentorship to all team members to foster career growth opportunities.
  • Mentor staff in the development of the skills in permitting and document preparation.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years' experience
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with proactive business development
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by first day of employment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with leading stakeholder outreach programs for energy projects.
  • Experience developing projects on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands
  • Experience with linear energy infrastructure projects being developed by publicly regulated utilities.
  • Strong technical writing and research skills as well as solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customarily and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment.
  • Self-motivated with an interest to learn and grow as a project team.
  • Five (5) or more years' experience managing the permitting process for energy project teams and mentorship of team members.
  • Experience with managing environmental resource specialists and managing large project teams.
Compensation: $100,000-$150,000 annually*
  • *Final agreed-upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, an individual's related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check prior to beginning employment.
Working ConditionsEnvironment
  • This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.
  • This job requires occasional project site visits, based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, and moving vehicles and equipment.
