GES is seeking a strategic and dynamic Senior Director with extensive experience in Oracle technologies to lead our organization's Oracle transformation journey. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the Oracle roadmap, ensuring that our systems are secure, modernized, and positioned for scalable growth. This leader will be responsible for architecting and driving the migration of our environments to the cloud, all while aligning with industry best practices and business objectives. Requirements
- Develop and oversee the comprehensive Oracle transformation roadmap, ensuring alignment with GES's strategic vision for the coming years.
- Design and implement the detailed plan for transitioning to robust Oracle support, including the reintegration of essential security patches and compliance measures.
- Lead efforts to upgrade all possible on-premises Oracle systems, identifying and prioritizing components that require modernization.
- Drive the decoupling of customizations from existing Oracle environments to facilitate seamless future upgrades and reduce technical debt.
- Prepare the organization's Oracle systems for cloud readiness-ensuring architecture, integrations, and processes are optimized for migration.
- Evaluate and recommend suitable cloud solutions (Oracle Cloud or other leading platforms) to support current and future business needs.
- Oversee the migration of Oracle workloads to the chosen cloud environment, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum operational continuity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, Security, Operations, and Business stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Stay current with Oracle's product roadmap, security trends, and emerging technologies to inform decision-making and maintain a competitive edge.
- Establish robust governance, monitoring, and reporting mechanisms for all Oracle transformation initiatives.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing technical team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle platforms, including significant leadership roles in large-scale Oracle transformations.
- Expertise in Oracle databases, applications, middleware, and cloud technologies.
- In depth understanding and experience working with Oracle EBS (AP, AR, GL, FA, OM, Procurement etc.), Hyperion (HFM & FDM), Essbase, EPM, Oracle Fusion Cloud.
- Proven track record of successfully managing Oracle upgrades, patching strategies, and cloud migrations.
- Deep understanding of security best practices and compliance within Oracle environments.
- Experience with decoupling customizations and preparing legacy systems for modernization.
- Exceptional program and project management skills; ability to drive complex initiatives to completion on time and within budget.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead, inspire, and grow diverse technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
