Athletic Department Bus Driver Volunteer

Provide transportation for Athletic Department student athletes and staff in a safe and timely manner.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Handle and maneuver a 15 passenger van safely and professionally.
2. Comply with all traffic ordinances.
3. Maintain a proper schedule ensuring that student athletes arrive and depart on time.
4. Review trip routes and packet prior to trip to fully understand routes and responsibilities for each event.
5. Responsible to maintain good student athlete conduct while driving the bus.
6. Responsible for the supervision of student athletes as they load and unload the bus.
7. Perform and properly complete daily pre-trip vehicle inspections.
8. Responsible for the safeguard of college equipment materials and tools.
9. Perform routine housekeeping chores on the vehicle such as sweeping cleaning picking up etc.
10. Communicate with athletic department staff to find safe pick-up and drop-off points for students and staff.

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma required.

Preference will be given to individuals with Passenger License, CDL or experience driving large vehicles.

Vehicle Operation

Valid Illinois Commercial Driver's License.

Ability to work with a variety of individuals including supervisors, co-workers, volunteers, and students.
