Manufacturing Group Accounting Commodities (PGM) Specialist

This position is responsible for the Precious Metals/Catalytic Converter consigned inventory PGM process and Steel Offload process.

This includes:

• Leading the month-end accounting close activities.
• Developing and reviewing standard costs for precious metals inventory, including Engineering metal loadings
• Monitoring and assessing account reconciliations.
• Maintenance of the precious metal sub ledger at suppliers' plants.
• Directing the catalytic converter annual physical inventory.
• Administer claims process for raw material sold under the Resale Steel program for US, Canada, and Mexico.
• Supporting SOX controls, including updating designs and performing tests, as required.
• Providing support and guidance to the purchasing community on all aspects of precious group metals inventory.
• Working with and directing Fiat Services personnel and keeping current desk top procedures.
• Resolving issues with PGM suppliers
• Special Reports, reviews, and analysis as required

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting; or related
• Minimum 5 years of accounting or finance experience
• Good working knowledge of accounting principles, methods and techniques
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with a bias for action and issue resolution
• Microsoft Office - Expertise in Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or CPA
• Inventory accounting experience
