Maine state licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required. Candidates who also hold LADC or CADC licensure is preferred.

We are looking for an experienced Behavioral Health Clinician to join our PIER Program.

As the only early psychosis program in the entire state, Maine Medical Center's Psychosis Identification and Early Referral (PIER) Program has been a national leader in community education, research, and family-focused treatment since 2000 (seewww.pierprogram.orgfor more information). The PIER Program has been providing and testing treatments for people between the ages of 12 to 35 at imminent risk for and within one year of onset of psychosis with a population health and evidence-based approach to early intervention.

The PIER and Resilience teams serve clients and families across the state (including ages 14-35 within 2 years of a first episode of psychosis). The Clinical High Risk for Psychosis (CHRP) team is an assessment and stepped care model that offers a range of services to those 12-26 in 5 counties in Maine.

Utilizing Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) - an evidence-based treatment model - our team of specialists create a personalized and integrated treatment plan. We offer excellent training and supervision opportunities for early career professionals aspiring to improve mental health treatment and access to care and be part of cutting edge research in psychiatry.

This position will include a rich combination of rewarding work with adolescents and young adults including individual and family therapy, psychosocial support, group work, and peer support. All members of the transdisciplinary team will be cross-trained as all roles on the team are critical to the model.

All positions require a person with proactive engagement skills who enjoys working within a transdisciplinary team. The PIER and Resilience teams provide coordinated specialty care including community outreach, specialized assessment, CBT for psychosis, multifamily group psychoeducation, supported education and employment, care management and peer and family peer support. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience working with adolescents, young adults, and families, including those with major mental illness, and be looking for the opportunity to participate in obtaining specialized training in assessment and evidence-based early psychosis treatments. This person should be comfortable with an expectation of meeting competency standards in discipline specific models.
