A Day In The Life

The Truck Driver is responsible for transporting products locally and out of town using either a straight truck or tractor-trailer. This role includes spotting trailers for loading and unloading, performing various truck-related duties, and supporting warehouse operations as directed by the supervisor.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Transport products between shipping departments and facilities, including parts, stock, and other items.
  • Perform over-the-road runs and operate flatbed trucks for loading and unloading.
  • Stage products on the dock as needed and maintain accurate records, including shuttle move logs and daily vehicle inspection reports.
  • Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as cleaning, oil checks, and general upkeep.
  • Support warehouse operations as needed.



*Satisfactory completion of all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements is a prerequisite for this role. This includes:



  • Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • A current medical certificate in compliance with DOT standards.


Both the CDL and medical certificate must be obtained prior to starting in this position. After employment begins, the company will assist the operator in acquiring the Hazmat endorsement to be added to their license.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Current medical certificate in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Ability to obtain a Hazmat endorsement (company will assist post-hire).
  • Ability to obtain passing grade on Packing and Shipping Operator's Test as a condition of employment.
  • Ability to work a minimum of eight hours per shift.
  • Ability to walk, see clearly, and use both hands effectively.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist and vice versa.
  • Ability to lift up to 90 lbs. periodically.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks including warehouse support.
  • Reliability and a proactive approach to vehicle and equipment maintenance.
