Overview

Situated within the Global Government Relations function, you will play a critical role in supporting Atlas' government relations agenda across key markets. Specifically, you will help manage the activities of Atlas' political action committee, coordinate meetings, track and monitor legislative and policy developments, conduct research, and attend association and policy related meetings. The position is based in Washington, DC and is in office 4 days a week. Some travel is required.



Responsibilities

    Track and monitor federal legislation, hearings, and policy developments
  • Assist in tracking and managing legislative calendars and deadlines
  • Write concise and informative memos on legislative issues, summarizing relevant information for internal audiences
  • Conduct research on legislative proposals, regulatory changes, and policy trends to support the company's strategic objectives
  • Support the government affairs team in engaging with external stakeholders, including industry associations and advocacy groups
  • Attend congressional hearings and relevant events
  • Draft correspondence and communication materials for internal and external audiences, including weekly reports
  • Assist in the development of presentations for internal meetings and external engagements
  • Manage federal contributions and lobbying reporting filings in compliance with federal regulations, including assessing qualification of corporate activities and expenditures.
  • Assisting in the preparation for and execution of annual solicitations for Atlas' Political Action Committees, including the drafting and distribution of PAC communications
  • Write bi-weekly PAC newsletter.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of previous experience in a congressional office, government agency, or related environment
  • Prior experience working on Capitol Hill
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Social media savvy

Salary Range: $60,500-$81,500

Financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors to include but not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset.
