- Supervise and lead the team of warehouse personnel and manage all aspects of the site warehouses including scheduling and maintaining manpower, issuing, storage, inventory counts, vendor managed solutions and facility maintenance
- Providing strong safety leadership ensuring compliance with the Geismar Safety Program (including toolbox talks, planned inspections, job observations, safety meetings, etc.); Nutrien Safety, Health, and Environment Program; and any other required health and safety programs
- Ensures Nutrien inventory controls are adhered to promoting accuracy and reliability of inventory data
- Accountable for ongoing reviews of inventory data to drive optimization opportunities
- Leads team to be customer and results focused
- Collaborate with other departments to manage the repairable spare and rebuildable programs
- Maintain good housekeeping throughout areas of responsibility
- Work closely with the Material Master Data team to update descriptions and initiate inventory modification requests
- Guide the identification of proper reorder points to maintain optimal inventory working levels
- Ensure materials stored in the warehouse are maintained in the asset management systems, in accordance with Nutrien Procurement Policy and site-specific policies
- Directly support warehouse and inventory optimization, as well as other key strategic sourcing projects as required to create a best-in-class procurement organization
- Promote improving business processes that foster continuous improvement and innovation
- Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of management and staff; exceptional written communication, oral presentation and influencing skills
- Train and develop staff, provides constructive performance feedback and takes appropriate corrective action to address performance when needed
- Collaboratively lead teams in business-based situation analysis, solutioning and action steps
What you will bring:
- Minimum of 10+ years of warehouse or strategic sourcing experience and 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Undergraduate Degree in Business or related field (or an equivalent combination of education and work experience)
- Certifications in disciplines such as Procurement, Inventory Management, Six Sigma, or Operational Planning are an asset
- Working knowledge of computer tools (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Working knowledge of Oracle, Viziya, SparesFinder and Ariba would be an asset
- Ability to think strategically with confidence and speed in execution
- Strong organizational, project management, time management, and people management skills
- Superior problem solving and analytical skills to effectively generate recommendations
- Motivated, high-energy initiative-taker business mindset; proven change agent with excellent facilitation skills
- Hands-on; no reservation to perform all duties to get the job done
- Exercises good judgment and makes effective, sound, timely and informed decisions
- Builds effective relationships to accomplish the organization's goals
