IMEG is growing, and we'd love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Finance & Accounting Systems Analyst in our Rock Island, IL office.

The Finance & Accounting Systems Analyst, reporting to the Finance & Accounting Systems Manager, plays a key role in evaluating and optimizing financial software systems. This position is responsible for analyzing system data to ensure operational procedures are both effective and efficient, while also assisting in troubleshooting technical issues. Additionally, the analyst will audit Finance & Accounting processes, collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement, recommend solutions, and support user training on system functionalities and updates.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Audit processes in VP, EleVia, Power BI, Avalara, FinQuery, and any other accounting related software; Meet with stakeholders to discuss findings and potential, researched, solutions when improvements are identified

  • Review workflows and stored procedures-provide a detailed report and meet with stakeholder(s) to discuss improvements, sunsetting, or replacement

  • Assist with reviewing RDL files to ensure they are accurate and relevant

  • Audit the F&A processes; ask questions and present solutions (after researching options); May include correspondence outside of IMEG

  • Assist with reviewing performance reporting from platforms to evaluate the performance of our processes and identify potential problems causing software performance issue

  • Assist in the investigation of potential solutions for various process inquiries and process suggestions from stakeholder(s); Review findings with Finance & Accounting Systems Manager for feasibility and, if appropriate, priority scheduling

  • Review sync failure log between F&A and other CSG platforms and communicate with appropriate users through resolution

  • Periodically review Bot performance and meet with stakeholder(s) to discuss findings and, if needed, potential improvements

  • Assist, as needed, with troubleshooting and communication on user support tickets.

  • May function as Project Manager on initiatives

  • Provide ongoing system support, troubleshooting issues, and training finance team members on system use and troubleshooting

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Critical thinking and strong research skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Familiarity with SQL and Java, or ability to learn quickly

  • Advanced in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Ability to travel up to 15% with occasional overnight stays

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems is required

  • Experience with process improvement methodologies and project management tools preferred

  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times

Salary Range $54,000-65,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
