Accounts Payable Clerk

Staffmark is hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk to support our client, a leading provider of pipeline infrastructure, marine transportation services, specialty chemical production, and an integrated portfolio of crude oil pipelines and terminals across the Gulf Coast.

Pay: $40,000 - $50,000 annually (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices in compliance with established procedures
• Generate and mail vendor payments accurately and on time
• Review vendor statements, identify past-due invoices, and resolve disputes with vendors
• Scan invoices into the imaging system for accurate recordkeeping
• Partner with accounting personnel to ensure accurate month-end cutoffs and timely AP close
• Review invoices for potential sales/use tax liability

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and reconciliation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Accounts payable, accounting, or Oracle experience a plus
