CDL A Local Driver

Staffmark Drivers is seeking new talent in Smithfield, RI, and hiring experienced CDL A Local Drivers to join our team. This is a part-time, on-call position with flexible hours and home daily routes-perfect for drivers looking for extra income or a schedule that works around other commitments.

Pay: $30-$32/hr (hourly pay)

Schedule: Part-time, on call. Drivers may be called with only 2-3 hours' notice.

Job Details:

• Local routes only - no overnight or OTR
• No-touch freight | Hauling foodservice equipment, supplies, and janitorial equipment to restaurants, schools, and hospitals
• Equipment: vans and box trucks
• Part-time, flexible, temp assignments - ideal for ASAP drivers

Job Duties:

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report issues
• Safely operate equipment while representing company in a professional manner
• Follow shipping orders and delivery schedules
• Remain available for on-call assignments with short notice

Required Qualifications:

• Valid CDL A license & DOT Medical Card
• At least 1 year of verifiable driving experience within the last 3 years
• Acceptable MVR and ability to pass pre-employment screening(s)
• No more than 3 moving violations/accidents in the last 3 years
