Responsibilities

The Assistant Service Advisor will provide clerical assistance related to processing for property and casualty insurance, including ID cards, binders, evidence of property, reinstatements, follow-up changes and pending policies, processing notes, etc. Assist in the daily download functions or other tasks as needed.

  • Set up clients in Epic
  • Enter prospective clients into Sales Tracker (or Epic if we are transitioning to that)
  • Maintain status of prospects in Epic
  • Maintain client advisor assignments
  • Complete change request assigned from the client advisor
  • Set up templates for certificates in CSR24
  • Review processing notes per procedure and set up delivery activity for Agency Operations
  • Issue binders, id cards, evidence of property, and/or posting notice
  • Assist with renewal proposals
  • Process non-pay and reinstatements according to Procedure, verify Carrier information
  • Follow-up on pending activities/tasks until marked complete
  • Participate in seminars and classes for skills and knowlege development
  • Pull loss runs and MVR's
  • Set up workers comp service fee agreements
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner


Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or Equivalent
  • All applicants must be 18 years of age or older

Professional Certifications/Licenses:

  • Property & Casualty Agents/Brokers License Preferred
  • Maintain Agent/Broker License through continuing education

Experience/Skills:

  • Customer Service Experience Preferred
  • Insurance Experience Preferred
  • Ability to use menu-driven software
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a "team" environment
  • Good Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Compensation: Commensurate with experience plus potential for annual merit increase.
