Molex is seeking a Rotational Engineer/Associate BDM to join our Printed Circuits Solutions team in Naperville, IL!

We are preparing for growth in our Business Development areas.

Accelerate your engineering career through our comprehensive 3-year Rotational Development Program. You'll gain hands-on experience across three critical business functions, spending one year in each role to build a versatile skill set that positions you for leadership.

What You Will Do

In our three-year Rotational Development Program this individual will spend a year within each role developing skills in a wide range of areas:

Year 1: Cost Engineer
  • Drive Strategic Pricing & Product Feasibility

* Collaborate cross-functionally with business development, engineering, operations, and procurement teams to develop precise product costing strategies

* Create compelling proposals including executive presentations, technical specifications, and detailed assembly drawings

* Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes for user interface and printed electronic assemblies

* Build cost models that enable competitive positioning and profitable growth


Year 2: Project Manager:
  • Lead Programs from Concept to Launch

* Orchestrate cross-functional teams including internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers to deliver projects on time and within budget

* Manage project lifecycles ensuring technical specifications, schedules, and profitability targets are achieved

* Navigate risk and complexity by conducting strategic assessments and implementing corrective actions

* Drive stakeholder alignment through regular reporting and proactive communication with leadership

* Optimize project scope while maintaining client satisfaction and team productivity


Year 3: Associate Business Development Manager:
  • Shape Customer Relationships & Drive Revenue Growth

    * Partner with senior BDMs to expand existing accounts and develop new market opportunities

    * Translate customer needs into innovative Molex PCS solutions that create competitive advantage

    * Lead sales presentations showcasing capabilities and securing new business through strategic proposals

    * Own the commercial process from initial customer contact through contract negotiation

    Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

    • Currently enrolled in or recently completed an Engineering-related degree program with a graduation date no later than December 2025
    • Previous engineering/technical internship experience
    • Experience creating presentations and presenting to leadership
    • Experience in engineering across plastic injection molded parts, silicone rubber parts, electrical components, and/or metal stamped parts
    • Experience in reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings and specifications
    • Experience with Bills of Material for electrical and mechanical components

    What Will Put You Ahead

    • 2 years of full-time experience in an Engineering-related role or rotational program
    • Ability to travel up to 30%
    • Strong communication skills for interacting with various Suppliers, external Customers, Internal Operations workers, Business Development Managers, and management.
    • Strong computer skills with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
    • Ability to manage information from many sources & consolidate it into a concise message that can be shared with management and business development managers
    • Aptitude for learning a broad range of topics which will be included in the Supplier communications such as plastic injection molded parts, silicone rubber parts, electrical components, and metal stamped parts.

    For this role, we anticipate paying $80,000 - $110,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
