The Covestro Engineering/Business Internship provides firsthand exposure to Industrial Marketing and Marketing Communications at one of the world's largest and most innovative producers of polymers and high-performance plastics.

Throughout the summer internship program at Covestro's headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA, you'll work closely with our highly skilled and experienced commercial and technical professionals. In addition to the work experience, you may have the opportunity to visit a plant and/or warehouse to give you a first-hand look at our day-to-day operations.

You'll contribute to ongoing projects, getting an intimate look at how Covestro identifies customer needs and keeps the flow of new and established products moving through the marketplace. The internship program will begin in mid-May 2026, and last approximately 12 weeks.

Responsibilities may include:

Industrial Marketing

As an Intern you may support projects to research market trends and targets. You may also help to identify customer needs and opportunities in the Healthcare market. You will work under the direction of experienced professionals and will have the opportunity to become actively involved in current and ongoing projects.

Marketing Communications

As an intern you may also support industrial marketing colleagues to execute marketing content with our marketing communications group.

To ensure the most meaningful experience possible, the exact breakdown of work will depend on the most critical and urgent needs of the business at the time of the internship.

WHAT YOU OFFER

Basic Qualifications

• Enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Technical (engineering, sciences) and/or Business studies
• Completion of Freshman year
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Preferred Qualifications

• Chemical Engineering major

Skills and Knowledge

• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills including an ability to interact with and establish strong working relationships with diverse individuals
• Project coordination with the ability to be proactive and identify creative, effective technical solutions
• Demonstrated PC skills and ability to work within Microsoft Office Programs
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
