General Summary: The Large Format & Print Specialist within Quinn Graphics will be responsible for print and installation of large format posters, banners, custom wallpaper, wayfinding and directional signage; assisting customers in the selection of presentation materials; processing print requests; and facilitating the production schedule of print jobs on the large format and production printers, and the associated finishing equipment. The incumbent will operate large format and production printers, laminators, trimmers, contour cutters, review graphic design files for appropriate format settings, and utilize the department's internal print management, cost estimating and billing system (MIS). Incumbent also supervises the work of student employees; provide on-the-- job training to new staff, provide assistance to the overall operations of the department as needed. Examples of Duties:
Qualifications: Incumbent must have a minimum of two (2) years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in graphic arts, graphic design, drawing, or digital vector illustrating work is required. Prior digital print production experience preferred. Strong Prior experience with reviewing and manipulating digital/electronic print files generated from desktop graphics design applications preferred. Prior experience working with wide-format printing equipment is strongly preferred. Strong computer application skills preferred. Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends is required. Possession of a current and valid motor vehicle driver's license is required at the time of hire and must be maintained throughout the duration of employment in this position.
