What to Expect
The BIW Process Supervisor performs process sustaining tasks for the manufacturing line on a variety of mechanical and electrical processes including response to out-of-control process, work on yield improvement projects, disposition of special case non-conforming materials that come from the manufacturing line, qualifying new equipment and processes that are being introduced into the manufacturing line. Perform supporting activities for engineering and manufacturing including 5S and Lean manufacturing activities, yield improvement, scrap reduction, production line configuration, and safety procedures. We are looking for a BIW Process Supervisor to be responsible for managing welding projects and supervising the welding team. The responsibilities include providing consulting services, coordinating multiple projects, overseeing the welding procedures, and maintaining and improving the weld fixtures.
What You'll Do
- Resposible for real-time communication between quality, process, design engineering and NPI with test results and escalations during failure analysis and process development activities
- Perform process sustaining tasks for the manufacturing line on a variety of mechanical and chemical processes including disposition of non-conforming materials that come from the manufacturing line, response to out-of-control process, work on yield improvement projects, and qualifying new equipment and processes that are being introduced into the manufacturing line
- Perform supporting activities for engineering and manufacturing including 5S and Lean manufacturing activities, yield improvement, scrap reduction, material handling improvements, production line configuration, and safety procedures
- Manage workload with a positive attitude as a team player in a collaborative work environment
- Maintain and update issue and problem tracking systems regularly throughout shift Interface with Process, Quality, Design and NPI to identify and help resolve build issues with new and existing product in real time Influence, coordinate and lead other technicians and allocate their support to meet production needs
- Write work instructions, setup workstations, maintain tools and spares, while keeping safety, ergonomics, quality, Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles in mind
- Develop, update and send out daily passdowns to cross functional teams Disposition of all non-conforming materials that are produced by the manufacturing line. Day to day coverage of production line process, including rapid response on out-of-control processes to minimize cost and maximize productivity
What You'll Bring
- Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project
- Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and electrical schematic
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities with minimal direction contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment
- Demonstrates adherence to EHS regulations and standards and leads by example
- Strong organization and record-keeping skills with strong attention to detail
- Knowledge in Fanuc Robot, WTC Weld Controller, Lincoln power source - Power Wave
- Knowledge in Resistance Spot Welding (RSW), GMAW MIG/MAG, Destructive Test (DT), and Nondestructive Test (DT)

Expected Compensation
$72,000 - $194,400/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
