Overview: We are seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to join our Marketing & Business Development team in our Minneapolis office. This role supports the firm's expanding digital communications initiatives and plays a key part in developing and promoting strategic content that enhances Fredrikson's market position. Working closely with colleagues across the communications, digital, and design teams, the Specialist will help coordinate publicity efforts, manage social media content, monitor engagement metrics, and support various communications projects tied to firm priorities such as Elevate Fredrikson, growth, and brand visibility. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to gain experience across a variety of communications functions and develop the skills necessary for future advancement within the team. Key Responsibilities Include: * Develop and refine strategic promotional content across print and digital platforms to support brand visibility and marketing goals. * Support firm publicity efforts, including scheduling media interviews, coordinating award nominations, tracking opportunities and outcomes, and conducting media research. * Assist with firm social media strategy, content creation, and activity monitoring, including alerts for sensitive or negative mentions. * Track, analyze, and report on digital engagement metrics from websites, social media, online profiles, email marketing, and media monitoring to inform recommendations. Our Ideal Candidates Will Have: * Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field. * 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a similar role. * Demonstrated ability to draft and edit promotional materials such as website content, press releases, email campaigns, social media posts, blog articles, and legal updates. * Foundational understanding of social media, analytics, search engine optimization, and online B2B marketing. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). * Experience with website content management systems (CMS), Google Analytics, SEO tools, and generative AI. * Familiarity with social media platforms such as LinkedIn and YouTube, and email marketing tools such as Vuture. * Ability to work a hybrid schedule with flexibility to meet urgent deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in a professional services or corporate environment. * Strong writing (AP Style), proofreading, and organizational skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects with high attention to detail and adapt to changing priorities. * Strong technology aptitude and awareness of current digital marketing best practices. * Experience with CRM systems such as InterAction, and media monitoring tools such as Meltwater. * Active engagement with industry resources such as the Legal Marketing Association (LMA), PRSA, or IABC. * Self-motivated, with strong time and project management skills, sound judgment, and a desire to learn and grow. Benefits are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms and conditions. The salary range for this position varies by geographical market. In Minneapolis, the estimated starting annual pay range is $70,000 - $80,000/year. Compensation will be based on the candidate's experience, skills, education, professional background, overall qualifications, and geographic market location.
