Join our dynamic team as a Brand Marketing Leader, where your expertise will drive the future of our iconic brands. We are seeking a passionate and innovative individual who will oversee marketing activities with a forward-thinking approach, guiding our brands towards success over a 12-18 month horizon. As a mentor and coach, you will empower your team to execute marketing strategies aligned with our P&L objectives, ensuring each brand fulfills its role in the marketplace.

You will be at the forefront of leading Agile marketing and IMP processes, participating actively in crafting and executing OGSM brand-level strategies. Your mastery of business drivers, coupled with insights into consumer, customer, and channel trends, will be crucial in steering brands towards achieving annual business objectives. With an eye for innovation, you will continuously explore new trends and competitive activities to enhance channel effectiveness and efficiency.

As an Outcome Owner, you will take charge of the agile marketing process, owning the timeline and process for the Integrated Marketing Planning Process (IMP), from business review to activation and optimization. Collaborate with the Marcomm Planner to develop IMP briefs and supervise the creation of activation briefs. Your contributions will be vital in shaping the Brand Strategic Positioning (BSP), identifying optimal consumer design targets, and defining brand positioning.

Manage the A&P budget for assigned brands, overseeing creative and communication strategies, campaign ideas, and media plans. Build and maintain relationships with external agencies to align with brand goals. Develop and communicate product attributes effectively to ensure consumer needs are met. Nurture your team's marketing skills, fostering growth and transferable skillsets within Gallo business units. Represent the business unit in cross-functional leadership forums, contributing to policy development and compliance with quality, environmental, and safety regulations.

What You'll Need

  • Master's degree plus 8 years of communications, finance, marketing, military, operations, supply chain/supply planning, process development, new product development, project management, process engineering, or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of communications, finance, marketing, supply chain/supply planning, process development, new product development, project management, process engineering, or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 7 years of Gallo experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 14 years of communications, finance, marketing, military, operations, supply chain/supply planning, process development, new product development, project management, process engineering or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Experience effectively presenting information to top management, public groups and boards of directors.
  • Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Required to spend 25% of the time traveling in-market in order to conduct job duties.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You'll Stand Out

  • Master of Business Administration degree plus 10 years of Gallo brand marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Multiple Gallo marketing rotations.
  • Brand marketing experience.
  • Experience training and developing junior level brand marketers in executing brand and organizational objectives.
  • Experience managing business operations and leveraging basic finance and accounting principles.
  • Skilled in reading, analyzing and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
  • Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
  • Experience writing speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Skilled in interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Experience performing work that is complex and varied in nature, requiring frequent evaluation, originality or ingenuity.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS database at an intermediate level; IRI, Brio and Spectra at a basic level.
