Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Coordinator - Clerkship.

Under the direction of the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Medical Education, Clerkship Director and the Program Supervisor, the Clerkship Coordinator will perform a variety of departmental, educational and administrative tasks. The Advanced Medicine and Critical Care Clerkship Coordinator helps to oversee the coordination, planning and administration of the 4-week clerkship, which is given 8 times per year. The incumbent provides administrative support in managing the daily operations of the Advanced Medicine and Critical Care clerkships and other educational programs as needed. Primary areas of responsibilities include coordinating and overseeing the workflow, training and day to day activities of the Advanced Medicine and Critical Care clerkships.The incumbent will perform various administrative tasks, including but not limited to purchase requisitions, arrange meetings, catering, taking minutes, and all other logistics as directed by the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Medical Education and the Program Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:

The Clerkship Coordinator provides administrative support in managing the daily operations of the advanced medicine Clerkship and critical care clerkship as well as other educational programs including the visiting student program. Primary areas of responsibilities include coordinating and overseeing the workflow, training and day-to-day activities of the advanced medicine Clerkship and critical care clerkship. The incumbent will perform various administrative tasks, including but not limited to purchase requisitions, arrange meetings, catering, and all other logistics as directed by the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Medical Education, Clerkship Director and Program Supervisor. The coordinator will perform various administrative tasks, including but not limited to managing of schedules for Adv. Medicine/Critical Care clerkship students, maintaining and updating the COMET assessment site for students, maintaining and updating Brightspace site for clerkship, and managing student assignments for Adv. Medicine/Critical Care.

  • The Clerkship Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative support for the Advanced Medicine andCritical Care Clerkships, as well as other educational programs, including the Visiting Student Program. Thisrole is responsible for coordinating daily operations, managing student schedules, and supporting program
    leadership in the smooth execution of all clerkship-related activities.
  • Coordinate and oversee the workflow, training, and day-to-day operations of the Advanced Medicine andCritical Care Clerkships.
  • Maintain and update the COMET assessment site and Brightspace platform for the clerkships; managestudent assignments and rosters.
  • Organize onboarding and offboarding processes for students on monthly rotations, including orientation anddocumentation tracking.
  • Assist with rotation scheduling, student evaluations, and compliance with program requirements incoordination with clerkship leadership.
  • Handle visiting student applications and coordinate all aspects of their participation, including onboarding,scheduling, and orientation.
  • Work closely with the Office of Medical Education (OME) to ensure student rosters are accurate and up todate.
  • Support a variety of educational functions related to the Clerkship, Residency, and Internal Medicine SummerFellowship Program.
  • Perform and participate in other job-related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration or related field.
  • Minimum of four years of progressively responsible related experience including program/project coordination or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as World, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications.
  • Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to multi task and project manage.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships across all organizational levels. Demonstrate customer service skills, including the ability to use appropriate judgment, independent thinking and creativity. Ability to effectively handle challenging situations and to balance multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and
written communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to multi-task and balance competing demands. Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,350.00 - $66,144.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
