We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Program Director to lead our Health Information Technology and Management (HIT) Program at Baker College. As Program Director, your core responsibility is to lead and shape an academic program, driving its quality, relevance, and alignment with Baker College's mission and goals. You will champion a student first academic environment, ensuring that every decision reflects the College's values. Your role involves cultivating a culture of compliance, collaboration, and integrity among both faculty and students. Partnering closely with the academic dean and faculty, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing program quality, curriculum assessment, and instructional excellence. The ideal candidate will hold a Master's Degree in Health Information, or Health Informatics along with a current RHIT or RHIA certification. A minimum of three years of relevant field experience is required, with at least two years of program leadership or management experience preferred. Candidates must also have at least two years of college-level teaching experience, including online instruction. A background in accreditation is preferred. The role demands exceptional organizational, administrative, and communication skills, both verbal and written. Responsibilities include maintaining a full teaching load per college policy, scheduling and staffing program courses, curriculum development, advising students, leading program meetings and advisory boards, supporting CAHIIM accreditation, participating in student orientations, and preparing the annual budget.
