About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with strong administrative experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven healthcare environment. You will play a key role in supporting patients and clinical staff by managing medical records, coordinating appointments, and ensuring a smooth front desk experience. Key Responsibilities * Greet patients and families at the front desk and assist with check-in using iPad screening systems. * Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and follow up on referrals. * Respond to patient inquiries regarding appointments, insurance, and payments. * Coordinate patient flow between departments and external organizations. * Prepare and maintain medical records, including scanning, filing, and saving documents as PDFs. * Monitor incoming faxes via email, save and upload records to patient charts, and notify staff of new results. * Print and organize records for upcoming appointments, ensuring completion by midweek deadlines. * Verify Medicaid coverage each morning and retrieve paper charts from storage when needed. * Assist with orthotic fittings, including post-mastectomy and diabetic footwear. * Perform data entry, post payments, and support insurance verification processes. * Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM (flexible by 30 minutes each way) Required Skills & Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent experience in healthcare or administrative support. * Proven experience in customer service, medical records handling, and insurance verification. * Ability to work independently under tight deadlines with minimal supervision. * Comfortable with physical tasks such as retrieving paper charts from storage. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
