Job Overview

The Senior Manager of Social Media Operations will oversee the end-to-end management of social media creative and campaigns, ensuring flawless execution across all stages, from strategy development to post-production delivery. This role will lead a team of two Social Media Operations Specialists and manage complex timelines, resources, and cross-functional collaboration. The Senior Manager will be responsible for aligning social media timelines with organization deadlines, driving effective content production processes, and ensuring the seamless delivery of both organic and paid social campaigns. This role will also partner closely with the department Senior Director and Director of Social Creative on production budget allocation and management.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with the social media strategy, influencer marketing and social creative directors to implement a department integrated planning process and corresponding milestones.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines for all social media creative jobs, including strategy briefings, concept reviews, production kickoffs, and final media delivery.
  • Track campaign milestones to ensure all deadlines are met, including shoot schedules, media delivery deadlines, leadership reviews, and cross-functional partner approvals. Proactively manage any adjustments to project timelines, ensuring campaigns remain on track despite unforeseen challenges.
  • Lead and facilitate regular cross-functional meetings (with creative, strategy, media buying, and production teams) to ensure alignment and smooth execution of campaigns.
  • Act as a liaison between creative teams, paid media, publishing agencies, production and marketing strategy teams to ensure that all social media initiatives have timely and accurate delivery.
  • Manage, mentor, and guide the Social Media Operations team, providing direction, feedback, and professional growth opportunities.
  • Organize and manage the workflow of the Social Media Operations team, ensuring tasks are prioritized and deadlines are met.
  • Oversee the organization and storage of all creative and influencer assets in systems like Figma and Google Drive, ensuring easy access and proper categorization for cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure that all assets (images, copy, videos, etc.) meet the requirements for social media ads across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on campaign milestones, creative status, and any potential blockers or delays.
  • Ensure all creative briefs and social media deliverables meet business objectives, brand guidelines, and are free from errors or missing information.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to project assets, timelines, or other operational roadblocks.
  • Leverage project management tools (such as Monday.com) to track tasks, milestones, and resource allocation across campaigns.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.

Skills You Will Need

  • 7 years of project management experience in social media or digital marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior management capacity.
  • Experience in managing both paid and organic social campaigns across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, and YouTube.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, high-volume projects with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise in project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Asana, or similar SaaS platforms) to track tasks, timelines, and team coordination.
  • Familiarity with creative asset management platforms such as Figma, Google Drive, or Microsoft Exchange.
  • Experience in using social media platforms' paid campaign tools (Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram Ads, etc.) and familiarity with creative ad unit requirements across different social media channels.
  • Strong understanding of creative production processes for social media and influencer marketing.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) is a plus, especially for collaborating with design teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear guidance and feedback to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a focus on team mentorship, collaboration, and effective delegation.
  • Highly organized, with a keen attention to detail in tracking campaign milestones, reviewing creative work, and ensuring deliverables are accurate and meet expectations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues in real time and ensure the smooth execution of campaigns.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and demands in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Who You Are
