Description

SUMMARY

This position is a key function within the AMPP certification program and is responsible for providing the strategic direction and managing the overall product development for the certification program which includes; engaging with various stakeholders to develop and execute a credentialing portfolio strategy to deliver timely and industry relevant credentials. In addition, this role will be required to ensure to that certification development models and processes are followed through the product lifecycle.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Engage with key stakeholders to understand the business requirements and expected skills outcome to be achieved for each priority


  • Manages a team of certification development specialists to ensure that all products meet the necessary development standards and processes as applicable. Drive efficiencies in the development process through adoption of new trends, standards and technologies.


  • Develop a FY roadmap including associated costs and key product attributes including;

    • Defining the scope of each project
    • Timelines for execution
    • Development costs
    • Best credentialing approach e.g.) Certification, Micro Credential or Assessment based certificate




  • Works collaboratively across various internal and external stakeholders to ensure deliverables are completed according to quality standards and project timelines and budgets.


  • Works with marketing team to provide product messaging, value propositions and GTM strategy
  • Debriefs stakeholders and executives on the portfolio performance as required
  • Manages the overall development and delivery across the certification portfolio.
  • Documents project activities in well written summary reports and presents outcomes and deliverables in a way that facilitates understanding by non technical audiences.
  • Collaborates with Business development and market vertical teams to identify new certification opportunities and market expansion for existing products.


  • Ensure adherence to product lifecycle model to ensure predictabletime to market


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Some travel is expected for this role and passport is required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE



  • 10 years Certification program management with exam development experience.
  • Master's degree in Educational psychology, Psychometrics or equivalent experience
  • 1 to 3 years professional test development experience
  • Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office products


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, employees of the organization, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, etc. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to develop and interpret business graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Must possess a specific level of communication skill both verbal and written. Have demonstrated personnel management skills including, but not limited to, the ability to evaluate staff performance and provide direction, is highly desirable. Ability to work in a multitask environment taking into account various external factors and to communicate efficiently and accurately to both managers/supervisors and subordinate staff.Must be computer literate with knowledge and experience in word processing and spreadsheet softwares. Ability to learn and use association specific software.
